Messaging is intended for questions that can be answered without substantive research, document review, drafting, or other project work. The current page already makes the basic distinction between messaging and more complex requests.

They provide a fixed-fee structure for a  number of hours with preferred hourly pricing. Work will be scoped, and you'll receive an estimate of what we plan to complete within the specified hours range.

Hours can be used for most legal services Dev Counsel agrees to provide, including contract drafting and review, negotiations, document updates, legal research, consultations, corporate work, and other legal projects.

Every plan includes certain ongoing services, such as qualifying attorney messaging, scheduled consultations, Legal Calendar maintenance, filing reminders, trademark monitoring, and electronic signature coordination. Subscribers also receive access to the Client Connect portal, TechDocs AI, TechDocs Templates, TechDocs Resources, and other platform tools.

What happens if I don’t use all of my hours?

Unused hours can roll over, up to a total of 12 hours. If you're not using all of your hours, you can downgrade your plan at any time without losing accumulated hours.

What if I need additional hours?

You can continue working with Dev Counsel at your plan’s applicable Additional Hours rate. For larger projects, Dev Counsel may also recommend a separately priced engagement.

How quickly will Dev Counsel respond?

Standard requests are generally addressed within 3–5 business days, depending on the nature of the request and current availability. This is a response-time guideline, not a guarantee that the requested legal work will be completed within that period.

What if I need something quickly?

Accepted Answer

Rush service may be available for work needed in fewer than 3 business days. Rush work is subject to availability and may consume Attorney Time at an increased rate or be billed at the applicable Rush rate. Advisor subscribers receive expedited service when available without a Rush premium.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Client Connect plans are month-to-month, and you can request an upgrade or downgrade at any time. Plan changes generally take effect with your next billing cycle.

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There is no minimum commitment. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, subject to reconciliation of Attorney Time used and any outstanding amounts.

Can any business subscribe?

No. Client Connect is subject to eligibility and Dev Counsel approval, including conflicts, jurisdiction, the nature of the requested legal services, and Dev Counsel’s ability to support the client.
